The audiences in Shakespeare's day sound completely obnoxious to me, and there were no female performers! Also, I get to see excellent Shakespeare productions regularly. <br /><br />As for the ancients, they might worth a visit--but while I love all the extent Greek plays as reading material, I find a lot of them dry and not that compelling as theatre.
